Great to hear the story of your progression Laurin! You have some great ideas in the pipeline, and I agree with your plan to outsource the video editing. Focus on creating the content, that's what's special about structural basics! It's cool to be on this path at the same time. 👍

Thanks for the input, James! It’s sometimes difficult to figure out what gives most value to readers but what is also time efficient to produce.

Agree, it’s great to share knowledge with you and get inspired.

OhMyGosh software! What a brilliant idea!

I use ForteWeb now because it's free but it's only Wierhauser (sp?) products-only wood.

I used to enjoy StruCalc but it was sold to a company that killed it. Then I tried ClearCals, but like you just said it's overly complex at times & a bit to pricey for me.

Yes exactly. Too many too expensive and complicated softwares out there.

It’s great to hear that you have the same opinion.

I've just recently found your YouTube &, much like all the comments I saw there, can't express enough how easy it was to listen to and absorb.

Spectacular work man.

Happy Blog-day!

Hi Laurin, Happy New Year to you! I wish you luck in your endeavors, but please bear in mind that software is a very rocky road. Even web-based modular ones. Shaders are a nightmare in coding for browsers. We run different backends and front ends in multiple combinations but there is no magic formula, just plenty of elbow grease. I salute any man who aims high...but you would need to build a good team around you first. Keep up the good work. Best regards, Gabor

Hi Gabor,

Thanks, happy new year to you too.

You are definitely right. Software is an expensive business and I first need cashflow from somewhere else. Always appreciate your comments and feedback!

Have a great start to the year!

Laurin
